Orchestra Vitae concert sets a new high

Recently FIE’s favourite musical ensemble Orchestra Vitae (OV), conducted by former Residence Life Supervisor Michael Cobb, reached new heights of performance and innovation with its most ambitious and highly acclaimed concert to date.

The concert was held at the internationally renowned music venue St John’s, Smith Square. The stunning Baroque setting amply complimented OV’s repertoire of Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, Brahms’ Symphony No.3 and perhaps most excitingly Stephen Montague’s Requiem: The Trumpets Sounded Calling Them to the Other Side, a rarely performed piece which involved the performance of an 80 piece choir.

Fall Visiting Faculty, students and FIE staff performed in the choir including Hana Darling-Wolf, daughter of Temple visiting faculty Fabienne. A special evening indeed and one with which FIE is proud to have been associated and to have supported.
